I watched the film 'The Trap' which is a recent UK urban drama in order to get more inspiration for our film, however i did not enjoy it as i felt that the acting and filming was poor and the storyline was predictable. It was also clear that the cameramen were not familiar with shooting techniques for example the over the shoulder shot, shot, reverse shot and multiple other basic shots.

During the filming process
On Friday 7th February Toff and I filmed the first scene at the Bristol magistrate court using the both of us, Femi and warren as actors. However during filming we were asked to leave the premises and come back during times when the court was closed, luckily we had everything we needed already filmed. We later made our way to the coach house in St. Pauls, Bristol, where we used a local barbershop named 'Roys salon' and the surrounding areas to film the final scene. However due to none of the cast members being able to make it this day we had to change what we had originally planned to film. We still managed to make use of the actor we did have.
On Monday 10th February Toff and I went back to St. Paul's but with a bigger group of people in order to film what we had planned to film the previous Friday, however yet again the original cast couldn't all make it, so instead I made an open invitation to my group of friends saying they could feature in it if they wanted.
The main problem was due to us having the smallest group of only three members, and only two of us being free to film on the scheduled dates, the directing and filming was very stressful. However we managed to overcome this by the use of tripods and keeping the camera rolling.
Filming schedule
Friday 7th February. 15.00 - 19.30
During this time we plan the film the starting scene and the majority of the second scene. We plan to film in mostly chronicle order as we need it to be day time for the first scene and evening/night for the second scene. Due to this it made more sense to attempt to film it in chronicale order.
Monday 10th February. 18.00 - 20.00
During this time we plan to film any additional shots we could not get furing the previous filming and any shots we needed to include after watching the original filming back.

Documentary
I watched a recent documentary on gang life and violence in Chicago in order to experience what the lifestyle is really like, instead of watching fiction movies about the theme. This helped get a first hand view of the general lifestyle and happenings in various 'hoods' in the united states.
